Tim,
Thanks for showing the system properties. I’ve been changing my drawings to “with font” everytime I make one. Much easier now.
My head hurts from the most recent “beating”. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge and humor.

What the heck does displaying a tangent edge, at least in an ortho view, have to do with my AGE?
If it doesn’t do something to add clarity to a view, don’t put ‘em in. To me (yes, I get a senior discount at the local diner), your example looks unnecessarily cluttered. Maybe it’s my “old eyes.” One of our other drafters insists on showing tangent edges, and simply because of that, he has had parts manufactured incorrectly (and none of our shop guys would be considered “old”)
Other than that, great presentation! I DO, in fact, show tangent lines in non-ortho (isometric) views. I believe in those cases they add clarity.
Thanks!

Tim,
Great video as always. I never fail to learn something new.
Thanks again and keep up the great work!

Steve,
So you admit your age!
I was expecting this one. I make no claim to better / worse, or easier / harder to interpret. I have simply observed that there is a higher use of Tangent Edges Removed among our arthritic friends. I find thin tangent edges attractive, so that is what I make… most of the time. There are exceptions; if clarity is reduced, I agree you should choose a display style that works for the task. The same for HLV vs. HLR. I dislike hidden line visibility; I will often add views to clarify hidden or ambiguous geometry before I will switch a view to HLV. I see many drawings where people make every view HLV. This hurts me. That is just my preference. Is there a right and wrong? Would SW even give us an option if there were only one correct way?
Thanks for the comments!

I wish SolidProfessor would hire Tim to make their training content, maybe then I would actually learn something, as opposed to watching somebody demo each feature “parametrically”!
Sure wish you had more tutorials. You have a diplomatic ability to deliver content in a very clear and concise manner.
